Introduction
WILD LIKE is an uncommon phrase signifying an individual devoted and enthusiastic about nature and the environment and do whatever is possible to preserve it for eternity. Wild Like Organization, Sri Lanka’s environment conservation forum shares the same spirit to preserve and protect nature, forests, flora and fauna and endangered species for generations to come.
History
Our country is an oasis of rare and immensely valuable medicinal plants that are fast disappearing due to deforestation and climate change and the founder of Wild Like Organization an environmentalist and a nature enthusiast launched WLO to educate and train its members to preserve and propagate endangered plants using modern nature conservation methods. The startup venture is very popular now and is fast gaining ground on visibility and practicality of its unique and novel applications and environmental conservation solutions.
Founder's Message
I wish to address a topic that affects our lives every moment – The Environment. Our environment is everything around us, the air we breathe, the water we drink, the soil that grow our food and the life sustaining resources of earth.
You may not be aware that our country has one of the world’s most valuable and rarest of nature’s bounty in the form of purest and freshest natural mineral water in 3 waterbeds. The source is still secure but for how long is a big question. However human activities such as deforestation and the use of plastics are causing immense harm. Air pollution alone is responsible for millions of premature deaths each year. Forests are being cutdown for development, wild animals are losing their natural homes and climate change is affecting weather patterns everywhere.
We cannot ignore these signs any longer as our environment is in our hands and the time to act is now. Join Wild Like Organization and know how you can help to safeguard nature and richly benefit by WLO’s activities. OUR MEMBERSHIP IS FREE FOR ALL.
